Focus Pills

NZT.1

What if you could have a solution for an everyday problem, staying focused and concentrated on important things like studying and managing a business. What of there was a focus pill? So often we can find ourselves searching for this focus and delivering suboptimal performances. Partly it’s due to our biological heritage, our bodies as well as our minds are designed to rest if opportunity is there to save energy because it was always uncertain if there would be food the next day. Now in our lives of abundance we could in theory perform much better but our brains prevent us from it.

Luckily there are supplements that can mildly stimulate the brain making it easier to focus on things. Neurological systems in the brain that are especially involved in focus are dopaminergic and noradrenergical systems. These systems are activated when focus is necessary. For example the dopamingeric system is really sensitive to rewards. Whenever we are rewarded a burst of dopamine is released from dopamingeric nerves part of the meso limbical circuit. Whenever something catches our attention, or induces stress our noradreneric system is activated, the locus coeruleus with its efferent projecting nerves gives bursts of noradrenaline, thereby activating attentional and motivating systems in the brain.

What supplements could act on these two systems? One of these is L-tyrosine, an amino acid. L-tyrosine is converted in the brain to L-dopa, hence boosting dopamine levels, L-dopa can be further converted to dopamine and noradrenaline. Another way to act on the dopamine and noradrenal system is to prevent dopamine or noradrenaline from being taken back by the neurotransmitter from the synaptic cleft. Ginkgo biloba is known for it’s effect on brain circulation but another trade of ginkgo is to be able to act as a noradrenaline re-uptake inhibitor. Ginkgo given in appropriate dosages can give a pleasant stimulating effect. Especially when combined with ginseng that boosts memory but given alone can have a negative effect on attention. In our formula NZT.1 we chose this combination over L-Tyrosine based on our extensive field-testing. Try NZT.1 and you will experience a mild stimulating, motivating and clear feeling appearing.
